1. ClickUp Notepad (Free Online Notepad)

ClickUp Best Free Online NotepadClickUp is the best free online notepad app that I recommend and use every day.  What’s great about it is that it does so much more than take notes such as:

  • Tasks
  • Docs
  • Chat feature
  • Goal setting

In order to use it, you’ll want to create an account here and also download the chrome extension.

Once inside, you can go through some of the tutorials to get a feel for the project management software.  The chrome extension however is the main place to take quick notes and reference them whenever you’re browsing online.

I also recommend downloading the ClickUp app on your phone on either iOS or Android.  This has helped for me personally to get notifications to stay on track with my calendar and also be able to have everything synced between my computer and phone.

ClickUp is by far the most sophisticated online notepad software on this list.  It takes a little bit of time to figure out how to use but is very beneficial in the long run if you’re looking for a solid notepad software that includes a whole suite of project management tasks that can be completed as well.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some of the features that ClickUp offers.

Features Of ClickUp

  • To-Do Lists – If you’re like me, your life runs on to-do lists practically all the time.  ClickUp has a visual to-do list creation software that allows you to group different tasks into specific categories that you create.
  • Project Management – If you’re running a business either online or offline, this feature is critical.  It’s where all of your tasks and schedule comes together.  You can group assignments, set the urgency of a task, assign specific tasks to different users on your account, and most importantly assign due dates connected to your calendar.
  • Docs & Wikis – This is an awesome feature that actually allows you to create documents right inside ClickUp.  Typically, these are documents that have valuable information you want to share with the other users on your account if you have a team of people for your business.
  • Spreadsheets – This is a feature that I personally use a ton.  You can view and edit Google Spreadsheets or AirTable spreadsheets directly inside ClickUp.
  • Email & Chat – ClickUp includes a conversation feature that in essence eliminates that need to use email or chat software with your teammates.
  • Events – Create calendars, timelines, and even Gantt charts that sync directly with Google, Outlook, and Apple.
  • Reminders – If you want to create a quick reminder, ClickUp gives you the option to do that.  You can also assign them to specific people on your team or create a new task from them.
  • Goal Tracking – You can create and track goals to progress.
  • Time Tracking – There’s a built-in time tracker that allows you to record how much time you spend on both individual tasks and projects as a whole.
  • Screenshots & Recording – Take screenshots using ClickUp and even record your screen.
  • Resource Management – You can visually assign tasks to different users and also easily see who’s working on what.
