Now, let’s dive into this review and get a clearer picture on just how big of an impact it can have on your business.

Google Workspace Review: What is Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is Google’s suite of apps ready to increase the collaboration and productivity of your business. You can use these apps in a manner that’s catered to the specific needs of your business.

Google Workspace Review: Who is Google Workspace for?

gsuite-overview

Let’s take a look now at who Google Workspace is for!

The most common reason for signing up to Google Workspace is to have your own custom email address.  In addition, you won’t see any ads inside your email.

Another main feature that’s great for businesses is the option to have unlimited cloud storage.

As your online business grows, the number of documents, images, videos, and any other form of media continues to grow along with it.  Pretty soon, you’ll be outgrowing your personal computer storage.  Then you’ll soon find yourself having used up your own external hard drive space if you’ve got one.

All this to say, having Google Cloud storage for your business will at some point likely be a necessity.  That’s what makes the ability to have up to unlimited cloud storage to store all of your media files on so remarkable.

Lastly, another really great thing about Google Workspace is their 24/7 email, chat, and phone support that they offer to all users.

I personally have used their support and can say it has been phenomenal.  They’ve consistently replied back to help me solve my issues on point and in a timely manner.

Google Workspace is designed for businesses of all sizes and types, from small startups to large enterprises. It is particularly useful for businesses that rely on collaboration and need to manage multiple projects at once.

Google Workspace is also ideal for remote teams that need to work together from different locations, as it allows for real-time collaboration and communication. The platform is especially useful for businesses that rely on cloud-based technology and need to access files and data from anywhere with an internet connection.

In addition, Google Workspace is suitable for businesses that require advanced security features, as the platform offers advanced security and data protection tools. Google Workspace is also ideal for businesses that need to manage their email, calendar, and other productivity tools in one place.

Overall, Google Workspace is a versatile and powerful platform that is suitable for businesses of all types and sizes that need to streamline their workflow, increase productivity, and enhance collaboration.

Now, let’s take a further look at what a custom domain email is and why your business needs one if it’s going to thrive online.

Google Workspace Review: What is an custom domain email and why does your business need one?

Before we get too far, let’s take a quick look at what a custom domain email is.

Email Autoresponder

A custom domain email is simply an email address with your own registered domain.  As an example, it could be ‘info@yourdomain.com’.

So, what’s the big deal with having a custom domain email?

A few benefits of having a custom domain email:

  • Professional online presence (credibility)
  • Create multiple personalized email addresses
  • Simple for your customers to remember
  • Connect to an email autoresponder

By leveraging your own custom domain email, you’re establishing a foundation rooted in credibility for your business.  Being trustworthy is truly one of the biggest if not the biggest factor to the success of your business.

The last thing I would want is for you to not get a custom email because you don’t want to pay for it.  That immediately can immediately turn someone off.  Sometimes it is the small things that build upon each other to produce a trustworthy business.

Gmail has over 1 billion active monthly users and covers 53% of the market, so there’s a good chance that you’re using Gmail already if you’re reading this.

So, that brings up the question then of what’s different about Gmail for Google Workspace as opposed to the free version.

Here’s what’s different:

  • Personalized email address with a custom domain name
  • No ads (my fav)

Google Drive

G Suite Review: Google Drive

Google Drive is an amazing way to securely store all of your files in the cloud and collaboratively share them on-demand at any time.

I personally use it on a daily business and love it – chances are you do too.

Here’s what you’ll get in Google Drive with Google Workspace:

Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides

Google-Docs-icons

No matter the device you’re using, all you have to do is sign into your Google account and you can immediately start editing your documents, spreadsheets, and powerpoint presentations all in the cloud in real time.

Having changes automatically saved with a history of changes backed up is always a plus feature that I personally like as well.

It’s all about collaboration in business and these Google apps are terrific for the job.

Google Forms

Google_Forms_Logo

At some point, you’ll likely want to have the ability to create a survey for business purposes.

Google Forms allows you to do just that.  You can create forms in a collaborative manner with your team as well.

I personally use it as a sort of to-do-list to keep track of things for my business.

Google Sites

Overall, Google Workspace is a powerful platform with many great features that can help businesses improve their workflow and productivity. The collaboration capabilities, accessibility, security, customization options, integrations, and affordable pricing are just a few of the best parts of Google Workspace.

Best Part #1: Custom Domain Email Inside Gmail

Having a custom domain email for your business is honestly a necessity online.  It gives your brand credibility and trust that would otherwise be lost.

With Google Workspace, my favorite part is being able to view my emails right inside Gmail and the Gmail app.

It makes the whole experience user-friendly and easy to use.  Plus, you can view your personal Gmail accounts all in the same place!

Best Part #2: 24/7 Support

Setting up your custom domain email can be difficult to say the least.

And there will more than likely be times where you mess something up with your domain hosting.  In turn, you need to figure out those issues quick or you’ll be missing out on receiving emails to your inbox.

That’s why having 24/7 support there ready to answer by phone, email, and chat is so crucial.  I’ve always gotten a response right away using Google Workspace’s online chat support and they have always been able to solve my issues successfully within a few minutes.

Best Part #3: Google Drive Storage Space

The Google Drive storage space provided with Google Workspace is honestly a great added plus.  It’s always good to have files backed up securely in different locations.

Having the ability to upgrade even to unlimited storage makes it even better as well.

Google Drive is something I used on a regular basis already with my personal Gmail account, so making the transition to use it with my business account was completely seamless.

Google Workspace Review: What’s Not So Great About Google Workspace

While Google Workspace has many great features, there are also some potential downsides to consider. Here are some of the things that some users may not find so great about Google Workspace:

  1. Learning curve: While Google Workspace is generally considered to be user-friendly, some users may find the platform to be overwhelming at first. There are many features to explore and learn, and it may take some time for users to become familiar with all of them.

  2. Limited storage: Google Workspace offers a limited amount of storage for each user, which can be a drawback for businesses with large files or data sets. Users who need more storage can upgrade to a higher-priced plan or purchase additional storage.

  3. Privacy concerns: Some users may have concerns about the privacy of their data and information stored on Google Workspace. While Google has implemented advanced security features, some users may prefer to keep their data on-premises to have more control over their data.

  4. Limited support options: While Google offers support for Google Workspace, some users may find the support options to be limited. Support is primarily offered through online documentation, community forums, and email support. Live chat and phone support are only available for paid plans.

  5. Limited customization: While Google Workspace is customizable, there are limits to the extent to which businesses can customize the platform. Some users may prefer more advanced customization options or more flexibility to modify the platform to their specific needs.

Overall, while Google Workspace has many great features, there are some potential downsides to consider. It’s important for businesses to evaluate their specific needs and requirements before deciding whether Google Workspace is the right platform for them.

Bad Part: Learning Curve & Limited Storage per User

While Google Workspace is user-friendly, some find the platform to be overwhelming at first.  Google Workspace also only offers a limited amount of storage for each user.

Other than that, I honestly couldn’t think of anything bad to say about Google Workspace.  After using it for nearly a year now, I haven’t had any problems with it for my business.

Being able to use a suite of Google apps that’s both familiar and exceptional makes it a no-brainer to invest in.  Google constantly makes updates to their software as well.
