ClickFunnels is the category king of sales funnels.

Shopify is one of the main go-to platforms for creating ecommerce stores.

Depending upon what you’re looking to build primarily for your business will decide whether you should start investing in either ClickFunnels or Shopify for the long-haul.

I’ve personally used both ClickFunnels and Shopify to create different websites and funnels and both have their places.

ClickFunnels in particular allows you to create complex sales funnels with a drag and drop funnel builder with tons of different widgets to choose from.

I’ve found it to be a great option if you’re looking to focus on selling your own digital products or even another company’s products as an affiliate.

You can create multi-step funnels and design them on your own completely customizable or use a pre-made template to get started launching quicker.

Shopify on the other hand is packaged as a software to sell multiple products with many different variations.

With Shopify, the payment processing with Paypal and Stripe for these different variations of products is made really easy to get setup and start selling on the platform.

Contrast that with ClickFunnels, which would be very difficult to create multiple variations of the same product and is not a software to be used for ecommerce.

Shopify is a software platform built for running ecommerce stores and can even be used to create blog posts as content alongside your Shopify store.

Shopify is ideal for someone looking to get into ecommerce (beginner or advanced) and wants to build out a dropshipping business.  You can then drive traffic to your Shopify store using any number sources, such as SEO, Facebook groups, or a Youtube channel.

ClickFunnels is a software centered around building sales funnels for individual products and isn’t a platform that lends itself to creating an ecommerce store on.  You’d want to use ClickFunnels instead if you’re looking to promote effectively a few of your own products or different affiliate products to your audience.
